The following are two degassing valves we use.
Wipf valves are also known as Wicovalves. Before valves was explored much, Wipf valves were used only on coffee packaging pouches. Today Wipf valves are used on any bag where having a valve is deemed essential.
These Wipf valves are technically made, and they consist of several parts and a silicon oil membrane that opens and closes depending on the amount of air pressure built inside the pouch.
If you are dealing with coffee, when carbon dioxide gas gets realized, and the pressure inside the bag rises to or above three millibars, the Wipf valve gets to open. The silicon membrane breaks (which is the opening act) thus letting the air out.
Once the pressure reduces to about 0.5 millibars, the membrane reseals again. Anytime when the pressure inside the bags increases, the valves do open and reseal once pressure equilibrium between the external environment and inside the bag equals.
Goglio group of investors manufactures Goglio type valves. They are the second type of valves that we trust in the degassing issue. They are quality valves made of several parts such as flexible rubber discs, polyethylene caps, viscous fluid layer (especially silicon liquid) polyethylene plates, and paper filler.
