Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a tasteless, colorless, odorless, nonflammable gas. It is commonly mixed with argon (Ar) as a shielding gas during welding of carbon and stainless steel or in some cases it is used in its pure form. This prevents atmospheric contamination of molten weld metal during gas shielded electric arc welding process.

CryoFX Co2 Dewar Adapter connects a standard Co2 Fitting (CGA-320) to the dewar style co2 output (on some tanks) called a CGA-622. Use this fitting on any Liquid Co2 Dewar to adapt the output to that of a Co2 Cylinder. This fittings does not regulate any gas, up or down, and is only a CGA-622 Adapter.
