Chemical nickel wastewater is nickel-containing wastewater generated during industrial production. The nickel ions in it are potentially harmful to the environment and human health. It is very important to effectively treat chemical nickel wastewater. Several common treatment methods are introduced below.

1. Chemical precipitation method: chemical agents such as lime and sodium hydroxide are used to react with nickel ions in wastewater to form precipitates, and nickel ions are removed by sedimentation or filtration in the sedimentation tank. This method is suitable for the treatment of wastewater with high nickel concentration and can effectively reduce the concentration of nickel ions.

2. Ion exchange method: ion exchange resin is used to adsorb nickel ions in wastewater on the resin, and then the nickel ions are released or removed by regenerating the resin. This method is suitable for treating low-concentration nickel wastewater.

3. Electrolytic deposition method: nickel ions in wastewater are reduced to metallic nickel in an electrolytic cell by electrolysis, and precipitated on the electrode, thereby removing nickel ions from wastewater. This method can be used for the treatment of high-concentration nickel wastewater.

4. Membrane separation technology: including membrane filtration technologies such as ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis, using membranes with different pore sizes to separate nickel ions and other pollutants from water, thereby achieving purification and concentration of wastewater. This method has the characteristics of high efficiency and good controllability.

5. Chemical oxidation method: Use oxidants such as persulfate, ozone, etc. to oxidize nickel ions in wastewater into insoluble oxide precipitates, which are then removed by sedimentation or other separation methods. This method is suitable for treating nickel wastewater containing organic matter.

When choosing a suitable treatment method, factors such as the nature, concentration, treatment requirements and treatment equipment cost of the wastewater need to be considered comprehensively. At the same time, legal and compliant operations are strictly followed, and relevant laws, regulations and emission standards are strictly observed to ensure the safety and environmental friendliness of the treatment process. In addition, continuous scientific research and technological innovation are very important for improving the efficiency of chemical nickel wastewater treatment and the resource utilization of wastewater.
