Excavator bucket teeth quality

Here is a

Singles. I think they make a world of difference. Especially for digging and tearing through roots. Seems to me like the doubles wouldn't do as good but I've never tried them. Here is a set on eBay for $40 + $15 shipping. They actually refer to them as "rock" teeth so they may be just what you need. I've had such good results from the factory teeth I bought I'm not sure if it's worth it to try and save money on the eBay teeth. They may be the exact same quality too so ????

JD 200 CLC machine.  We have tried every clip under the sun from the rubber expansion wedge to the multiple eagle beak type clips.  Have landed on the John Deere OEM clip for now but they don't make it long either.

They are X290 teeth - non OEM.  Could this be my issue, they do not fit as perfect to the cast boot as I would like but are much, much cheaper than the OEM teeth.  We have tried welding the top and bottom when new clips are installed with little to no luck either, it just snaps the weld since they don't fit completely tight.  Have not tried solid welding them on all the way around, kinda reluctant to do that but getting closer to that move every day.  Have not tried any type of bolt either.

Both surfaces are completely clean before installing new tooth so the fit is as tight as possible.  It's a pretty good struggle to get the clip in but once in they are slightly loose.

I have not tried OEM teeth, maybe that is the answer?  Any help greatly appreciated.
